OGITECH STUDENT'S UNION HOSTS LANDMARK CAMPUS CINEMA EVENT

In a significant move, the Students' Union Government of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) hosted a campus cinema event on Saturday, July 13, at the Twin Dapo Abiodun Lecture Hall. This event was centered on raising awareness about mental health and promoting overall well-being.

The featured movie, "Dead Serious," portrayed a poignant narrative of a man grappling with mental health issues, offering a story of struggle and hope that deeply resonated with the students. This historic event marked the second in  the OGITECH campus, setting a precedent for future initiatives aimed at promoting social awareness and support.

 The Students' Union is commendable for addressing mental health through the impactful medium of film. By hosting this event, OGITECH's Students' Union, in collaboration with Showmax, demonstrated its commitment to fostering emotional intelligence, mental well-being, and a supportive community.

As mental health awareness continues to grow in importance, events like this will play a crucial role in cultivating a culture of understanding and empathy.

The event also included a dancing competition featuring the best male dancers from Lusada and OGITECH campuses, as well as a female dancing competition among students from the Public Administration, Mass Communication, and Science Laboratory Technology departments. The competitions concluded with the presentation of gifts to the winners.
