Jennifer Lopez, the American actress and singer, officially filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, as per legal documents, following her two-year marriage with Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have ended their decades-long love story, culminating in their secretive Las Vegas wedding over two years ago. Reports suggest that the couple did not establish a prenuptial agreement. Lopez cited April 26, 2024, as the date of their separation, with their marriage taking place in July 2022 under the moniker "Bennifer" in the tabloids.

Their wedding initially occurred in a drive-thru chapel in Las Vegas, where Lopez changed her last name to Affleck. In her newsletter, "On the J Lo," she recounted the day's events, including flying to Vegas with Affleck and her children to obtain their marriage license and exchanging vows at the Little White Chapel's "tunnel of love" drive-thru. Following this unconventional ceremony, they later held a more traditional wedding at Affleck's Georgia compound on August 20, 2022, coincidentally the same date Lopez filed for divorce.

Amid swirling divorce rumors, Lopez and Affleck recently listed their jointly purchased Beverly Hills mansion for sale. The sprawling 5.2-acre property, acquired for US$60.8 million in May 2023, features a large home set amidst lush greenery.

The couple's decision to part ways comes after a series of significant events, including their lavish wedding ceremonies and the joint purchase of their luxurious Beverly Hills mansion. Despite the ups and downs, the public remains captivated by the unfolding saga of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's relationship.
