The Ogun State Police Command has declared Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, popularly known as "Portable," wanted for his alleged involvement in a violent attack on government officials performing their lawful duties.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, SP Omolola Odutola, indicates that on February 5, 2025, at approximately 10:00 AM, officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office, identified as TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, were conducting an enforcement exercise in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota.

During the exercise, the officials encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable's father, at Odogwu Bar in the area. Upon identifying themselves and requesting the approved building plan, the father informed them that his son was unavailable. This interaction escalated, leading to a confrontation that allegedly involved Portable and his associates, who are accused of attacking the officials in an attempt to obstruct their duties.

The police have urged the public to provide any information that could assist in locating Portable, emphasizing that he is considered a suspect in this case. They have also reassured citizens that the investigation is ongoing and that appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the safety of government officials and the public.

Community leaders have expressed concern over the incident, highlighting the need for cooperation between citizens and government officials to maintain law and order. They stress that such violent actions undermine the rule of law and can have serious repercussions for community development and safety.

As the situation unfolds, the Ogun State Police Command remains committed to transparency and accountability, assuring the public that justice will be served. They encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in resolving this matter swiftly.
