Nigerian hitmaker Asake has been announced as one of the headliners for the Yardland Festival in France. He will be performing alongside other global stars, including American rapper Latto and Belgian rapper Hamza.
Other artists billed to perform at the festival include French hitmaker Tiakola and Swazi DJ & Producer Uncle Waffles.
Asake's 2025 has been eventful, with the singer showcasing new face tattoos and daring fashion. He recently released the surprise freestyle "Military," hinting at a new era of creative freedom.
Asake, the two-time Grammy nominee, is nominated for six awards at the upcoming 17th Headies, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year. He is aiming to win his second consecutive Album of the Year award at the ceremony slated for April 5th.
"Why Love" is his first release of 2025 and his first since parting ways with his former label YBNL. The song was released under Giran Republic, Asake's imprint.
