Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has invited the State House of Assembly to a meeting on Monday at 10 am at Government House Port Harcourt.
The meeting, according to a letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, will address lingering issues in the state, including the presentation of the 2025 state budget and the payment of lawmakers' allowances.
The invitation follows the Governor's receipt of the Certified True Copy of the Supreme Court judgment on the political unrest in the state.
The meeting, according to the letter, will also discuss the provision of a befitting space for the Assembly's sittings, the payment of all outstanding remuneration or allowances of the Honourable members, the presentation of the 2025 state budget, and other matters deemed necessary to chart the way forward in the best interest of the state.
The letter concluded by inviting the Speaker and all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to the meeting with the Governor.
