Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) has recognized one of its security personnel, Mrs. Afisat Abioro, for her exceptional service.

Abioro received the award for best active and regular security personnel during a gala night held at the Institute's multi-purpose hall on Tuesday, February 25, as part of the 6th combined convocation ceremony.

In a show of appreciation, Abioro received a total cash award of ₦40,000, comprising ₦30,000 from the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, and ₦10,000 from the OGITECH Alumni body.

Abioro expressed her surprise and gratitude for the recognition, stating that she wasn't expecting the award. She thanked the management for the honor and said it serves as motivation to work even harder, along with her colleagues. She advised her colleagues to remain committed to their duties.

Abioro also commended her boss, the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Aluku Matthew, for his leadership and guidance in the security department.

Mrs. Abioro reported that students have shown cooperation in adhering to the new footwear policy, with a significant number complying. She believes the policy helps instill good dressing habits among the students.

Abioro emphasized the importance of abiding by the school rules as laid down by the management. "Compliance by the students will take the institute to lofty heights," she stated. "When we work together to maintain discipline and order, we can achieve great things and make OGITECH a model institution."
