The School of Financial and Management Studies (SFMS) at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, welcomed its freshmen for the 2024/2025 academic session with an orientation program on Tuesday, March 4th. Held at the Prince. Dapo Abiodun Twin Lecture Theatre Hall A, the event brought together all departments under the faculty.
Dean Timothy O. Ogunseye, PhD, emphasized the importance of success, discipline, and excellence. He encouraged the freshmen to prioritize their studies and maintain a high level of discipline, reminding them of the sacrifices made by their families to support their education.
Heads of Departments, Mr. Olabode J. Ogunsuji (Accountancy), Mrs. Adetoro H. Jolaosho (Banking & Finance), and Mr. Adewale J. Akomolafe (Taxation), echoed the Dean's message, urging the freshmen to prioritize their studies and maintain discipline.
Department presidents, Comr. Michael Oye (Accountancy), Comr. Samuel Ogundare (Banking and Finance), and Comr. Daniel Arop (Taxation), emphasized the importance of staying informed, completing assignments, and attending classes regularly for successful academic performance.
The orientation program was attended by Dr. Odutola Akanbi FCA, Deputy Rector and former Dean of the faculty, along with other faculty and department members.
