Nigeria's Super Eagles will face two crucial tests during the upcoming March international break, as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.  The Super Eagles will face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in Group C, where they are currently in 5th place, a point above Zimbabwe.

Coach Chelle will have to make some adjustments to his team ahead of his debut as Nigeria's coach, as Semi Ajayi is out due to injury and Rapheal Onyedika is doubtful.  Despite these setbacks, Stanley Nwabali is expected to start in goal for the Super Eagles.

Defense:With Coach Chelle expected to revert to a back-four, the Super Eagles' defense will likely feature a familiar mix of experience and emerging talent. William Troost-Ekong's leadership will be key, and he'll likely partner with in-form Fulham center-back Calvin Bassey. Ola Aina's impressive form for Nottingham Forest secures him the right-back spot, while Bruno Onyemaechi will likely fill the left-back role.

Midfield:The absence of Wilfred Ndidi will be keenly felt, but Leicester City's midfield stalwart is expected to be replaced by the reliable Alhassan Yusuf. Alex Iwobi's stellar form for Everton in the English Premier League makes him a crucial addition to the midfield, providing creativity and goal-scoring threat.

Attack:Moses Simon's brilliance for FC Nantes this season, highlighted by his goal-scoring prowess and impressive dribbling skills, makes him a shoo-in for the right-wing position.

Nigeria's Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda on March 19th and Zimbabwe on March 22nd.  The team is expected to field a strong lineup, featuring a mix of experienced players and emerging talent.

Key Players:

Ademola Lookman: The Atalanta winger, who has made the Super Eagles' left wing his own since his debut in 2022, is set to return to the team.

Victor Osimhen: The Napoli loanee, who is currently playing for Galatasaray, will lead the attack. Osimhen has been in excellent form this season, scoring 22 goals and providing five assists in 28 games.
