Adenuga Aminat Aderonke emerged the overall graduating student at the 5th Convocation ceremony at Ogun State Institute Of Technology, Igbesa with the CGPA of 3.94 / 4.00.
The 22 year old who is a graduate of Chemistry department said in an interview with the runaroundnews correspondent that, " Hardwork, self belief, and determination and not luck or miracle ".
According to Aminat, "I was the best graduating student in my ND days, with the CGPA of 3.75/4.00 and I told my self, it was time to go to the University but unfortunately I missed the UTME registration because I couldn't afford the form till the registration closed".
She stated that, " I wasn't happy to come back for my HND but I summoned the courage to study Chemistry".
Aderonke stressed that, "She wanted to study Medicine and going to a university , all efforts to attain that feat proved abortive. Wrote series of exams, excelled at them, still couldn't get my dream course or school.
She said she took it as her destiny and she settled down for the polytechnic, to study Science Laboratory Technology.
She maintained that "I was distraught, devastated, demoralized, but the fighter in me shook me up, and I heard a soft voice whisper "you're about to conquer the world".
Aminat oppined that "I can’t even sugarcoat this because It was extremely tough, feeding,housing,clothing and attending classes comfortably was a nightmare".
She emphasized that "I picked myself up, started the journey with determination that sprout out of a fertile heart, with a conviction that everything starts with me. Studying a course I would never have imagined in my wildest dreams".
She told our correspondent that she resolved to emerge as nothing but the best. While a lot of people, fully aware of how much of an avid reader, intelligent, smart and bright, young lady Adenuga Aminat Aderonke is.
The Overall Best Graduating Student from the Ogun State Institute of Technology Ogun state,Igbesa ,with the CGPA of 3.94 /4.00, is not a walk in the park kind of venture. It was borne out of consistency to keep going, even on the days I just wanted to give up, prayers on the days it got too much, perseverance when I felt I couldn't go any further, dedication, hardwork as these are "the key" to opening every door of success. Glory be to God as He is forever deserving of the praise.
She said, "Five years later, standing tall with smiles on my face, embracing with tears of joy my outstanding awards of excellence, I know deep down that I swallowed bitter pills, transitioning from what it could have been to what it is".
Best graduating student said, "I am grateful I made it this far beautifully, and desire to do better outstandingly".
