Popular Nigerian on-air personality Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch Podcast amid ongoing controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.

The drama began when reality TV star Deeone claimed during the podcast that Verydarkman had an interest in men. Instead of addressing the allegation directly, Verydarkman shifted the focus to Nedu, revealing private conversations and making accusations regarding his past relationships.

As the situation escalated, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce his decision to step down from the podcast, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show. In his official statement, Nedu expressed gratitude for the podcast’s journey but acknowledged that the intense scrutiny, criticism, and accusations had taken a personal toll. He emphasized his commitment to meaningful conversations but stated that stepping away was essential to put an end to the negativity surrounding his name.

In a heartfelt statement, Nedu reflected on his experience, saying, “The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and tackling difficult topics. However, with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have taken a personal toll.”

He continued, “In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast—for my peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show. I hope this decision puts an end to the negativity surrounding my name and allows the show to continue thriving.”

Nedu's departure marks a significant moment for The Honest Bunch Podcast, as it navigates the challenges of public discourse and personal accountability in the media landscape.
