OGITECH ENHANCES MUSIC EDUCATION WITH UNVEILING OF NEW MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR MUSIC TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

In a significant move to enhance music education at Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Rector Abiodun Oluseye has unveiled a new set of musical instruments for the institution’s Music Technology Department. 

The unveiling ceremony took place at the department’s auditorium and was attended by staff, students, and special guests from the music industry. The newly acquired instruments include state-of-the-art keyboards, drum sets, guitars, brass instruments, and modern sound equipment, all aimed at improving practical learning and fostering creativity among students.

During the event, Rector Abiodun Oluseye reaffirmed OGITECH’s commitment to providing quality education and hands-on experience for its students. “Music is a powerful tool for innovation and cultural expression. With these new instruments, our students will have access to world-class resources that will enhance their musical skills and prepare them for professional careers,” he stated.

The Head of the Music Technology Department, Mr. Adeolu Adebayo, expressed his gratitude to the management for the investment in the department, stating, “This is a game-changer for us. Our students will now be able to experiment, compose, and perform at a higher standard.”

Students from the Music Technology Department showcased their talent with a live performance using the newly unveiled instruments, leaving the audience thrilled. Many expressed their excitement about this development, stating that it would significantly enrich their learning experience.
