The Rector of OGITECH, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has condemned the harassment of students at the school gate, stating that such incidents will not be tolerated.
During an on-the-spot interview with Campus Eye Media at the inauguration ceremony for the newly elected SUG executives, held at the Prince Dapo Abiodun Twin Lecture Theatre Hall, Dr. Abiodun reaffirmed his commitment to student welfare.
“I will not tolerate my students being harassed at the school gate,” he emphasized. He further stated that OGITECH serves as a training ground for professionals, and therefore, students must embrace professionalism in their conduct, including appropriate dressing and accountability for their actions.
Dr. Abiodun urged the newly elected SUG executives to take their responsibilities seriously by sensitizing students and fostering a culture of discipline and cooperation. He called on them to be partners in progress in creating a conducive learning environment.
Reiterating his vision for OGITECH, Dr. Abiodun highlighted his ongoing efforts to transform the institution within five years. During a facility tour on Monday, he inspected ongoing construction projects and expressed satisfaction with the institution’s progress.
"This is evidence of progress. I felt happy and glad when I toured the campus. OGITECH is undergoing a major transformation, and I will not relent in my efforts to make it even better,” he stated.
