OLOGBODIYAN PREDICTS APC IMPLOSION AFTER EL-RUFAI'S DEFECTION

Former PDP National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbodiyan has predicted the implosion of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following the defection of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Ologbodiyan said El-Rufai's resignation from the APC, announced on March 10, is a sign of the party's internal struggles.  He also suggested that the PDP may face similar challenges, with potential departures from either the Atiku Abubakar or Nyesom Wike factions.

El-Rufai cited the APC's treatment of its members and the "castration" of its organs as reasons for his departure.

Ologbodiyan highlighted the significance of El-Rufai's departure, noting that if a founding member of the APC can leave, it signals a deeper crisis within the party. He also urged the media to support opposition parties and resist the culture of silence.

However, Ologbodiyan acknowledged the internal challenges facing the PDP, suggesting that the party must address its own lingering crisis.
