Fabian Benjamin, the public communication advisor for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), disclosed this in a statement on Friday. JAMB indicated that the changes were necessary to implement essential adjustments to its registration templates.

“These adjustments were made in light of the recent suspension of certain law programs at selected universities, as reported to the board by the Council for Legal Education.

Additionally, the board found that some computer-based test centers had employed deceptive practices to gain approval, necessitating further scrutiny and the disapproval of such centers,” the statement read.

The board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience, according to the statement. It added that the additional time would be utilized to ensure that all necessary changes are implemented for a smooth registration process.

The board emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the admissions process while prioritizing the needs of candidates. It reassured stakeholders that the adjustments are aimed at enhancing the overall experience and ensuring that all applicants have a fair opportunity to participate in the upcoming admissions cycle.
